Yamboree Exhibit Building Information

300 Maximum Occupancy – 31 Tables (8ft./seats 8-10) – 180 Chairs

The Yamboree Exhibit Building was built on city property and paid for by the East Texas Yamboree Association. Rental fees are based on maintenance and utility costs. Your cooperation is essential in order to keep these fees as low as possible. Please do not use the dust mop to clean up spills. A $36 replacement fee will be charged if the dust mop is used as a wet floor mop.

In the rear storage area we have for clean-up; brooms, mops, buckets, and garbage bags. These are provided for your convenience. PLEASE DO NOT ABUSE.

We only accept cash, cashier’s check or money order. Deposit is refundable if all rules listed below are kept and clean-up afterward is done.

ANY GROUP NOT OBEYING THE BELOW RULES WILL FORFEIT THE ENTIRE DEPOSIT AND WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR FUTURE USE OF THE YAMBOREE EXHIBIT BUILDING.

FEES & RULES

Family Reunions, Meetings, Parties, Receptions, etc. – Rental fee for the common area is $100.00 for the first two (2) hours and $20.00 for each additional hour. Rental for the common area and usage of the kitchen is $150.00 for the first two (2) hours and $25.00 for each additional hour. A copy of a current Texas driver’s license is required at the time of deposit.

  • The key to the building must be picked up and returned the day of the rental unless the Chamber office is closed.
  • If this is not possible the key can be picked up the day before and returned the next business day after the rental.
  • The full deposit will be withheld if the key is not returned.
  • Cancellations – A minimum of ten (10) business days* notice must be given in order for a deposit to be refunded.
  • The minimum age requirement for building rental is age 21 or above.
  • The hold harmless requirement MUST be signed by the person responsible for the rental of the building.
  • NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING OR ON THE GROUNDS.
  • Furnishings are never to be removed from the building for any purpose.
  • NO EXCESSIVE LOUD NOISE. If the police are called to respond a second time for any offensive noise, the building will be vacated immediately, regardless of the time, and the deposit will be forfeit.
  • DANCES – The building must be vacated by midnight.
  • Decorations MAY NOT be attached to walls or the ceiling.
  • Any group damaging the building will be required to pay for repairs in the excess of the deposit.
  • All appliances MUST BE CLEANED after use. The deposit will be forfeit if left dirty.
  • Garbage – Please use the liners in the cans. place all garbage in the dumpster.
  • Please sweep all trash and mop all spills.
  • TURN OFF ALL LIGHT SWITCHES – $25.00 dollars will be withheld from the deposit if the lights are left on.
  • DO NOT TURN BREAKERS OFF.
  • DO NOT BLOW OUT THE PILOT LIGHT ON THE OVEN OR THE STOVE.
  • PLEASE DOWNLOAD AND RETURN THE RENTAL FORM TO THE GILMER AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
