RULES
- Entries must be registered on Wednesday, October 8th from 4:00 p.m. – 7 p.m.
- Cost of entry will be:
Individual Entries – $2
Individual School Classroom Entries – $1 for each potato (Upshur County Schools)
Groups Entries – $5 *Ex: Circus themed project with a ringmaster, lion, elephant, acrobat, etc completed by MORE THAN ONE child. Project not to exceed 11×14. Division will be determined by the oldest participant’s age within the group.
- Entries must be created with real yams, but may not be decorated with food (candy, icing, toothpaste, etc.)
- Entries will be judged on originality, use of the potato’s unique shape, time and effort, and appropriate artwork ability for the specific age group entered.
- Each participant will receive a ribbon.
- Newspaper pictures for Best of Show winners will be on Friday at 3:30 p.m. SHARP.
- Entries can be picked up on Monday, October 20th from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. All entries not picked up during this time frame will be discarded.

*Best of Show, 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place will be given out in each division.
